One Worship service
We now have only ONE Worship service at 9:30am. We are looking forward to being able to worship together as our whole church family.
August Mission
We raised $700 for "Water for Life" mission!!
September mission
Many of you may not be aware but LUMC has been supporting Dave & Job B’s mission for many years (over 30 years). The mission is affiliated with Wycliffe Bible Translators and works on translating the Bible into other languages so everyone can experience God's word. They have had to really cut back on expenses during 2026 due to cuts in funding. It has very much affected many nationals they work with. The project funding pays for wages for nationals, travel to the areas they translate the Bible for, office rentals in three different areas of the country, and many more things. They work in three different languages in different parts of the country, and that is why they have offices in each of those areas. When I say "offices," I only mean a small apartment where they work out of and sleep while visiting that area. It is not where they live.
Our September mission focus is to raise additional funds (outside our normal commitments) specifically for Project Funding. If you can help with this mission, please write Wycliffe project on the specials line of the offering envelope.
Wednesday morning Bible Study
We are continuing our Wednesday morning Bible Study. Come on out and enjoy the time while we dive into Isaiah and discuss what we have read. This is a great group of people, and we would love you to be a part of this!
Bible Study with Pastor Rick
Retired Pastor Rick Jewett will be starting a Bible Study on Thursday, September 17 at 10:00am. The study is titled, “Bad Taste of Foul Language” and will be 5 weeks long. If you are interested in this study, then please sign up on the sheet in the narthex.
Additional expenses
If you would be willing to pay for one or both items, we would really appreciate it! Just put it in an envelope and mark carpet on the Building fund line or bring it to the office at your earliest convenience.
Parsonage carpet/flooring- $2850 (unexpected expense)- $5145 already paid! Thank you!!!
If anyone can help with a portion of this expense, please let the office know. Thank you!
We will be adding to this list every time we have an additional non-budgeted item come through and marking paid once these items are paid off. Thank you so very much!

The Junior church resumes next Sunday, September 13 at 9:30am!
Youth group
The youth group resumes next Sunday, September 13 at 6:30pm!
Food pantry needs
As of right now we are finding it difficult to get supplies from MCOP (this is the organization where we get wholesale prices), therefore we have had to go out and buy most of the groceries that we use to fill up the food pantry. If you would be willing to buy any of the following products we would appreciate it.
Mac & cheese
Cream of mushroom/chicken soup
Ramen noodles
Misc. soups
Side dishes- such as Knor side
Kidney beans/ baked beans
Canned fruit
Boxed potatoes and stuffing
Canned pasta, for example- ravioli
Jelly
Spaghetti noodles/ pasta sauce
Monetary donations if you prefer that we shop
Kroger rebate
If you would like to help us out and sign up for this then please do so or ask the office for help in getting this set up. You just need to link our church under community rewards online with your Kroger card.
Trustees—Cemetery Lots for sale
The church is in possession of several cemetery lots at Toledo Memorial Park. They are being offered to the congregation at $800 per lot (current price from Toledo Memorial Park is $1200 per lot). If you are interested in purchasing a lot or lots, please contact the office.
