Lent Study 2025: Luke: Jesus and the Outsiders, Outcasts, and Outlaws,
 by Adam Hamilton.
Join Pastor Bryan as he dives into this book which focuses on many who were struggling, some who were outsiders and even outlaws. This study continues this Wednesday, March 19 at 6:30pm. There are flyers on the Pastor’s table in the narthex with more details. 

New member class continues
The new member continues  March 31 at 6:30pm in the library.

Easter egg hunt
 On Saturday, April 12 we will be having an Easter egg hunt event. Registration starts at 1:30pm and the egg hunt will start at 2 and go until they are found. Bring your little ones and come enjoy a fun time at the church! If you can help out with this please sign up on the sheet in the narthex.

Wednesday morning Bible Study
Did you know we have a Wednesday morning Bible Study? We meet every Wednesday at 9:30am in the narthex to read scripture and discuss what we have read. All are welcome to join us! If you would like to join this group, just come on over to the church on Wednesday mornings.

 Youth group
The youth group meets every Sunday night at 6:30pm and is for grades 6th-12th. Come check this great group out!

ONE Worship service
On Sunday, March 30 we will have ONE Worship service at 10:00am with a potluck immediately following. Please bring a dish to pass or just yourself and join us in great fellowship. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex.

 Lent Soup Suppers continue
We will be having the next weekly soup supper this Wednesday, March 19 and these will continue weekly through Lent. Bring your favorite soup, dessert or just yourself. All proceeds go to the youth group to go towards their mission trip to Henderson Settlement.

Volunteer opportunities
If you can help organize the men’s luncheon  please reach out to the office. This would include getting ahold of Red Star before the luncheon to make sure that they have enough seating for everyone who would like to attend and fielding phone calls for RSVP’s.
 
March Mission
For our March mission we will be taking donations for UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief).
Did you know that UMCOR responded to 262 humanitarian crises in 2022-2023, including natural disasters, with 539 grants totaling $50,871, 949.
If you would like to donate to UMCOR please fill out the specials line on the offering envelope with UMCOR. Thank you! So far, we have raised $640!
 
Sleep in Heavenly Peace donations
As you probably noticed, we have a bunk bed set up in the narthex. This is the bunk bed that we will be making in May as our May mission. We also need bedding for these beds. They need twin or twin XL sheets, pillowcases and comforters. The gentlemen in charge said that heavy comforters, quilts or fleece tie blankets are needed. Please put any donations directly on the bed. Thank you! This mission will be ongoing from now until our bed build on May 18th.  So far, we have raised $2550. We need to raise $7500 before May to cover our church’s portion of materials.

​Kroger rebate
If you have a Kroger card and would like to add our church to your community rewards, we would greatly appreciate it. This costs nothing to you, but our church gets a check quarterly for all who put our name down. If you need help with this process, please ask the office and we would be happy to assist you.
 
LUMC Women of Faith postponed
Women of Faith will be postponed until May. Further information will be given when this meeting gets closer.
